Dr. Moo's Office

I think we may have some future vet's in our classroom! In our "farm" theme this week we talked about who takes care of sick animals. They are such compassionate little doctors!

New Cozy Cots!

Much better!

Sleepy Time!

Little did I know that when I snapped these pictures yesterday that our new napping cots had been delivered and were right outside our door. We had two VERY GENEROUS donors, Fr. Geroges and Tom Brown donate the money so our little ones could snuggle up for a cozy nap! No more mats on the floor!

Fall Break

Friday was a difficult day to get the kids on task for some reason. So rather than our regular recess we decided to go for a walk. It was a little chilly, but great fun! We walked by and checked the progress of the pool, it is really coming along! They have the lazy river framed up, and are installing plumbing already! Then as we rounded the corner we spotted a beautiful tree that was loosing it's leaves, we couldn't resist......we had to stop and play!

Fire Fighters, Superheros, and Fairys!

This past week has been a blast! We started off the week talking about fire safety and prevention. The kiddos enjoyed fighting their own pretend fires and "driving" the firetruck we built. The Chanute Fire Department gave us hats, badges, and activity books, thanks guys! We also talked about being a hero, and how heroes can help people. Firefighters are certainly heroes, thanks for all that you do for us and the people of our community.
We also enjoyed lots of dramatic play in witch the kids were super heroes and fairies. They definitely know how to "save the day". We also discussed the ultimate super hero, our Lord Jesus Christ, and how he has saved us all! We decided to be heroes to those who are hungry by having a canned food drive. The box will remain out through the week, so please feel free to make a donation!
