Week two......still standing!
Well another week, although a short one, is complete! We are finally getting into a grove, things are flowing smoother, and we're having LOT'S of fun!! We have split into 3 and 4 year old groups this week, and it is working out better than I could have imagined. We all start our day together on our big rug, pray the morning offering, and have show and tell. Then the 4 year olds travel next door with Mrs. Watts and Mrs. Donaldson and do their craft, have centers, snack and a recess while I have instructional time with the 3 year olds. At about 9:20 we switch and do it all over again! It is a lot to cram in, but somehow it always manages to work out!
We finished up our theme on trees today and will be moving on to our next theme which is about homes. We will be learning more about our homes as well as the types of homes various animals live in.
When we returned to school on Tuesday we celebrated a very special young lady's birthday. She and her momma made delicious ice cream cone cupcakes for the entire class. They were a hit, the kids really enjoyed them, if you couldn't tell from the pictures!
I'm kinda bummed because I looked at our chrysalis's this afternoon before I left school, and one butterfly had emerged. So I'm betting the rest will be out by Sunday. I was really hoping it would have happened while were there to watch! Oh well, they will enjoy watching when we release them next week!
Today (Friday) the kids wore a red shirt, which is the color we have been talking about thus far. We read a book today called "Who said Red", learned a song about the color red, and of coarse then we painted with what else but RED paint!
Looking forward to another fabulous week! Here are a few pictures from this week, enjoy!
